Some useful resources related to showing, rescuing and owning Samoyeds are listed in this post.
American Kennel Club (AKC) dog shows are superintended by professional superintendents licensed by the AKC. Superintendents assist show-hosting kennel clubs with tasks such as site inspection, preparation of judging schedules and premium lists, and acceptance of entry and entry fees. If you are entering an AKC dog show as an exhibitor, you will most likely need to send your entry in to one of these superintendents. MB-F, Inc. is the superintendent for our club’s Specialty Shows.
San Francisco Samoyed Rescue (SFSR) is a non-profit corporation founded to render help to needy or displaced Samoyed dogs. The objective of this organization is to rescue and rehome Samoyeds in shelters or lost in the streets, relocate Samoyeds that owners are no longer able to care for, and educate owners and prospective adopters about the Samoyed breed and its care and training requirements. The rescue was founded in 1974 and received its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 1977. This organization covers Northern and Central California and Reno, Nevada.
San Francisco Samoyed Rescue is an affiliate of National Samoyed Rescue (NSR), an all-volunteer non-profit trust. The mission of NSR is to act as a service organization providing resources, support, networking, and guidance to assist existing Samoyed rescuers and help establish new rescue groups in areas lacking coverage. By fostering relations between rescues and regional breed clubs, breeders, and fanciers, NSR seeks to provide a unified single point of reference for the Samoyed rescue community. NSR strives to enable the humane, ethical, and effective rescue of Samoyeds in need across the United States through the substantiation and verification of its affiliated rescues’ practices thereby ensuring that shelters, humane societies, and the general public are confident in their local Samoyed rescue representatives.
